Petit Spade Signet Ring
The second in our Petit Signet series, a smaller take on our signet rings. A diamond-shaped recess holds a spade motif, the silver spade emerging from the darkened background in stark contrast.
In alchemy, the spade symbolizes the element of earth and the material world, and is associated with grounding, stability, and practicality. In some esoteric traditions, it is also linked to death and transformation, representing the burial of the old to make way for the new.

The signet tradition
The word signet comes from the Latin signum, meaning "sign" or "mark." Signet rings were historically worn as symbols of authority and pressed into sealing wax to leave the wearer's identifying mark. They were so personal that they were often destroyed after the owner passed, so no one else could use them.
Over time, your ring will gather scratches, scars, and memories. Each of these perfect imperfections marks a moment in your life's timeline, and may darken with wear, adding to the raw beauty and character of your piece.
