Mors Pendant Necklace
Mors(Latin) noun. Death.
Based on our Mors ring, the pendant features a skull with "Mors" inscribed above. Skulls were commonly used in jewelry in the 16th and 17th centuries as a reminder of our own mortality: memento mori, Latin for "remember that you must die." Although originally used in a more religious context, we hope wearing a memento mori piece reminds you to treasure the life you live and enjoy it to the fullest.
The back of the pendant features an embossed cicada flying towards the moon. The moon is the alchemical symbol for silver, the metal we make our pieces in. The cicada symbolizes rebirth, much like the long-forgotten stories Remains tries to bring new life to through our jewelry.

- Remove before swimming or bathing, and keep away from perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
- Polish with a jewelry polishing cloth. Avoid brushing the recessed oxidized areas, silver dips, and polishing pastes to preserve the finish.
