Our jewelry is made from solid precious metals, including .925 sterling silver, 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, and platinum, as specified on each product page. 18K gold is also available upon request; please contact us for availability and a quote.

We do not use plated, vermeil, or gold-filled base metals unless explicitly stated, with the exception of rhodium plating used as a surface finish on our solid 14K white gold pieces. Our jewelry is made from solid precious metal throughout, so there is no different base metal underneath that can be exposed through normal wear.

Our 14K white gold pieces are made from solid 14K white gold and finished with rhodium plating, a standard industry practice used to give white gold a brighter, whiter appearance. Rhodium plating is a surface finish and may gradually wear over time and can be professionally reapplied as needed.

White gold alloys may contain nickel depending on the specific alloy used. If you have a nickel allergy or sensitivity, please contact us before ordering and we can discuss alternative white gold alloy options.

925 silver, also known as sterling silver, is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, most commonly copper. Pure silver is naturally very soft, so it is typically alloyed with other metals to improve its strength and durability for everyday wear while retaining the appearance and character of silver.

Our jewelry is made entirely in Los Angeles. Every step of the process, with the exception of casting, is completed in-house at our studio. Our pieces are cast locally by a family-run Los Angeles foundry that we work closely with throughout the production process.

Many of our pieces are intentionally oxidized to emphasize recessed details and create depth in the design. This darkened finish is part of the piece and should not be treated as tarnish. Avoid silver dips, liquid silver cleaners, ultrasonic cleaning solutions, or abrasive cleaners, as these may remove or lighten the oxidation.

Sterling silver may also naturally tarnish over time, especially when exposed to moisture, humidity, or certain chemicals. If you would like to brighten the exposed surfaces, gently use a soft jewelry polishing cloth only on the raised or polished areas, taking care not to polish away the intentional oxidation in recessed details.

Gold requires relatively little maintenance but should still be protected from harsh chemicals, chlorine, and abrasive surfaces that may scratch or dull the finish. 14K white gold is finished with rhodium plating, which may gradually wear with regular use and can be professionally reapplied when needed.

Platinum is highly durable but will naturally develop fine surface marks and a soft patina over time. This is a normal characteristic of platinum and can be professionally polished to restore a brighter finish if desired.

For all jewelry, we recommend removing pieces before swimming, cleaning, or other activities that may expose them to chemicals or unnecessary impact. Jewelry containing stones may require additional care depending on the stone.

Yes, the oxidized patina can gradually wear over time. Oxidation is a natural process that darkens the surface of the metal, and we intentionally use it on many of our pieces to emphasize recessed areas and bring out sculpted details.

Because the oxidation sits on the surface of the metal, areas that receive frequent contact or friction may lighten with wear, while recessed areas generally retain their darker finish for much longer. Exposure to harsh chemicals, silver cleaning solutions, or excessive polishing can also remove the patina more quickly.

While our jewelry is made from durable precious metals, it is not indestructible and should be treated with care. If your piece becomes damaged, we may be able to repair or restore it depending on the extent and type of damage.

All of our jewelry is made-to-order unless otherwise noted and would usually take up to 3-4 weeks for production before they can be shipped. Once shipped from our studio here in Los Angeles, we will send you a shipping notification with tracking info.

If your order has any customizations such as engraving, it may take an additional 2 weeks before shipment.

We offer free standard shipping with tracking for all US orders over $100! Shipping rates for orders under $100 are automatically calculated for your shipping address at checkout. For expedited or international orders, please use the shipping estimator at checkout to calculate your shipping costs.

Yes we do!

International customers are subject to additional customs fees depending on the country you reside in. It will be the customers' responsibility to pay for the customs duties fees and any other fees associated with importing the item into your country. Customs fees differ depending on the country and unfortunately we do not know what they may be for your country. Please consult with your country's customs department for more information.

Due to the handmade made-to-order nature of our jewelry, we do not accept any exchanges or returns aside from issues with the jewelry upon arrival*. For rings, please make sure your ring size is correct by getting your ring sized at your local jeweler. For assistance with obtaining your ring size, please contact us at info@remainsjewelry.com.

*In the event that our jewelry is damaged or defective upon arrival, please contact us immediately for us to assist you in your return or exchange.

We ship all of our packages with USPS (United States Postal Service). International shipments will be handled by your local postal service once it enters your country.

Once your order has been handed over to the shipping courier and scanned in, we are no longer liable for any damages or loss due to shipping or theft. Please ensure that the shipping address that you provide is to a safe location. If any theft or loss occurs, it is up to the customer to file any claims with the shipping carrier.

It is recommended that you purchase signature confirmation for shipments to ensure that packages will not be dropped off without someone to receive it.
