In many cultures, cicadas symbolize rebirth and transformation, inspired by their own life cycle: they lie dormant in the earth for years before re-emerging.
The crescent moon is the alchemical symbol for silver, the metal we make our jewelry in, and also represents the new moon, the beginning of personal transformation. The cicada sits atop the recessed dark moon, a time of reflection and preparation for the change to come.

The dark finish comes from oxidation, which naturally shifts as the piece is worn. These changes add character, and no two oxidized pieces are exactly alike.

- Remove before swimming or bathing, and keep away from perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
- Polish with a jewelry polishing cloth. Avoid brushing the recessed oxidized areas, silver dips, and polishing pastes to preserve the finish.
