Elysium Ring II (thick band)
Marquise-cut stone cradled between two petite, outward-facing skulls, lifted by climbing vines and secured in a six-claw prong setting. Airy cavities beneath the head echo the texture of twisted, petrified wood. From above, the ring reads as a classic solitaire; from the side and three-quarter view, the skulls and vines reveal themselves.
The design draws together opposing themes, life and death, the otherworldly and the earthly. The brilliance of the stone contrasts with the quiet presence of the skulls, while the vines and wood textures ground the piece in the natural world.
