Scarab Necklace

The scarab beetle has long been a symbol of rebirth and immortality, and represents the Egyptian sun god Re. The scarab's lifecycle begins when a new beetle hatches within a ball of dung, and finally emerges when they appear fully developed, giving the appearance that the beetles skip over the newly hatched portion of their lives, and have just "come into being."

This scarab pendant is made of solid sterling silver, oxidized to show details and is suspended on an antiqued silver chain with lobster clasp.
